About

Core Cut Ltd is one of the UK’s principal suppliers of Diamond Drilling, Sawing, Controlled Demolition and Nuclear Decommissioning services. We also specialise in Passive Fire Protection, Hydrodemolition and High/Ultra-High Pressure Water Jetting. We have over 40 years’ experience of providing professional contracting services to the UK and are constantly investing in new technology and equipment to provide the best possible service to our clients. Headquartered in Broxburn, West Lothian, Scotland and with a branch in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, our highly qualified, mobile workforce provide a wide range of Diamond Drilling, Concrete Cutting, Controlled Demolition, Nuclear Decommissioning, Fire Protection and Hydrodemolition services throughout the UK. Hydro Demolition is the favoured method of concrete removal for a majority of projects due to the vibration-free process. This removes concrete while allowing the steel reinforcement bar to remain in place without damaging it, which is something not always possible with percussion-based concrete removal. Corejet are specialists in a variety of Hydrodemolition techniques, with a wealth of experience in Hand Lance Concrete Removal as well as the deployment of robotic systems such as the Aquacutter Evolution 710v. Robotic Hydro Demolition: The use of remote-controlled robots for Hydrodemolition provides a number of benefits including cost, time and safety. Robotic Hydro Demolition is especially useful in areas where operator safety is of primary concern. Due to the remote operation of the equipment, the operator’s safety is greatly increased as there is no longer a requirement to work on scaffolding systems and also removes their exposure to vibrations caused by percussive concrete removal methods. Key Features of Robotic Demolition: No expensive scaffolding systems required Projects completed quickly and efficiently Reduced cost as reinforcement bars don’t need replaced Consistent Concrete Removal Safer working environment for operators Improved compliance with the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 High Pressure Water Jetting using a manual hand lance system is another cost-effective and safe method to remove defective concrete; this also preserves the existing reinforcement. The result is a clean surface with excellent profile for bonding. Due to the non-percussive nature of the operation, there is no likelihood of any further damage to the surrounding structure through stress cracking. Key Features: No damage to reinforcement Vibration free Remote-controlled machine mounted operation for large scale removal Hand-held lancing for smaller precision projects Full range of case studies available Fully trained CSCS accredited operators Fully equipped mobile workforce covering the UK and Europe At Core Cut Ltd safety is of paramount importance and you can be sure that whatever the circumstances, with Core Cut the job will be completed on-schedule and on-budget in the safest manner possible. Core Cut’s dedication to safety and staff training has been recognised by the CITB with their award of a Platinum Certificate for CSCS accreditation.
