Lanes Group plc began life in 1992 as Lanes for Drains, a Leeds-based drain cleaning and drain repair specialist.Today that company is the UK’s largest independent drainage specialist. And there is considerably more to Lanes than drains. With more than 800 staff across the UK, Lanes Group consists of eight companies or divisions. These include major players in specialist cleaning and hygiene and the pest control industry; whilst the most recent venture — a network management centre for insurance companies — is already gaining sizeable market share thanks to its pioneering approach.Naturally our core business continues to be drains. From 24-hour emergency call-outs to tackle blocked domestic pipes, right through to major sewer rehabilitation schemes on a massive scale.

Where there has been a need for extra focus, we have concentrated our knowledge and expertise to great effect. Sewer renovation, for example, has its own dedicated division, as does the rail industry, for which we carry out the widest range of engineering and construction works as well as drainage contracts.

The Lanes Group’s growth record may be impressive, but our philosophy is not one of growth at any cost.
