WJA Launches Water Jetting Prospectus
The Water Jetting Association has published a new prospectus that clearly explains its history, benefits of membership and the high quality training it provides.
The comprehensive document is designed to explain to anyone interested or involved in water jetting in the UK and internationally the association’s purpose and objectives.
WJA President John Jones said: “We wanted to clearly lay out the benefits and key technical issues relating to water jetting and the advantages of working with the WJA in one clear document.
“Our prospectus is a useful resource for anyone who works in industries that make use of water jetting and who may require our services, most notably our City & Guilds accredited training.”
The prospectus also details the seven categories under which organisations can apply for membership of the WJA.
A key section in the prospectus is a description of the history of the WJA which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2020.
Founded by a small group of companies, the WJA is now internationally respected, not least because of its two water jetting codes of practice – the Blue Code for high pressure and ultra-high pressure water jetting, and the Red Code for the safe use of water jetting in drains and sewers.
The WJA is the largest water jetting training provider in the UK and its courses are also taught around the world, most notably in the Middle East.
The prospectus also details the WJA’s latest training offer, the world’s first water jetting competency qualification – the Level 2 Water Jetting Technical Certificate, accredited by ABBE.
WJA Director David Kennedy said: “We want to support partner organisations in promoting safe and productive water jetting both in the UK and internationally.
“Water jetting is a dynamic industrial process. New uses are being developed for water jetting all the time, and technologies, such as robotic water jetting, are also extending its advantages and safe use.”
